I just did an oil change yesterday on my 04 z400 and i was wondering if there is trans fluid or gear fluid i need to change too? I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything. I used Valvoline ATV 10W40 oil. Is that ok?

The trans is part of the motor assembly and uses the same oil as the motor. Just make sure and pull both drain plugs (bottom of motor and bottom of the oil resevoir).
Sh*t. I only drained the oil tank and jacked up the rear so it would drain better. It seemed like i got 2 qts out cause i put a little more than 2 back in. I noticed that there are 2 bolts under the motor. 1 bolt has the line coming from the oil tank and another bolt under the trans. Which one should i have taken off so it can drain.

The crankcase and transmission aren't divided, so you've already changed it.
